Troubleshooting
How to find out what went wrong, and what to do about the most common messages.
When something fails, first find out what happened. Then look up the message below. Most messages say whether anything was sent. If it says nothing was sent, no funds moved.
Check what happened#
- The pop-up message. Each trade shows a short message in the corner. A trade that landed has a View tx button. It opens the transaction on the chain's explorer. A trade on many wallets shows a summary, such as "Bought on 3/5 wallets · 2 insufficient balance".
- The operation window. Long jobs, such as funding or collecting, open in a window with their progress. It counts what has Started, what is Queued and what Needs attention. The job keeps running if you close the tab. Use Check status, Stop remaining items or Continue remaining items. See Operation progress.
- The task card. Open the token's terminal and find the task in the Tasks panel. Executions lists each step it ran. Results sums up what it did. See How tasks run.
- Notifications. The bell in the bottom bar keeps a list of recent events. See Notifications.
Buying and selling#
"… this buy needs … plus fees; no swap was sent" — The wallet holds less than the buy amount. Nothing was spent. Fund the wallet or buy less.
"… cannot pay the network fee (a sale pays it in SOL before it runs); fund the wallet and sell again. No sale was sent." — A sale needs a little SOL for its network fee. Send some SOL to that wallet, then sell again.
"These tokens are already reserved by pending sells. No additional sale was sent." — An earlier sale of the same tokens is still running. Wait for it to finish, then check the wallet again.
"Wallet holds none of this token; no sale was sent." — That wallet has nothing to sell. Pick wallets that hold the token.
"this wallet's previous transaction is still landing — nothing was sent; try again in a moment" — Robinhood Chain only. A wallet there sends one transaction at a time. Wait a few seconds and try again.
"… the amount is too small for the curve to return anything" — pons only. The amount is too small to trade. Use a bigger amount.
"Bought on 3/5 wallets · 2 insufficient balance" — Some wallets did not have enough. Fund them and buy again with only those wallets.
"Could not refresh. Showing the last saved data (…)" — The numbers on screen may be old. Press Retry now.
Launching#
The Create button is greyed out — Its tooltip starts with "Missing:". Look under "Before you can launch, add:" and click each item. Each one ends in Fix and takes you to the field.
"holds … SOL; a … SOL dev buy plus about 0.03 SOL of fees and rent needs about … SOL" — The creator wallet is short. Fund it or lower the dev buy.
"Name too long for the chain — pump.fun allows 32 UTF-8 bytes …" — Emoji and accented letters count as more than one. Shorten the name. The symbol has the same rule with a limit of 10.
"A transaction account does not have enough SOL for its transfer, rent or fees." — One wallet in the launch is short. It may be a buyer, not the creator. Find the wallet in the failure details and fund it.
"The dev buy exceeded its slippage — the curve moved." — The price moved before the launch landed. Raise the dev-buy slippage, or try again.
"The transaction expired before it landed (stale blockhash) — retry." — The network was too slow this time. Try again.
"The token's create and its …-routed dev buy are … bytes over one transaction …" — This happens with a pump.fun coin as the pair. Shorten the name or symbol by the number of letters it gives, or launch with no dev buy. Nothing was sent.
"launch: wallet … funding is still confirming." — The wallet's funding has not landed yet. The app keeps it so the wallet is not funded twice. Wait a minute and press Create again.
Several launches fail at once with an error that contains 3003 — This most often means pump.fun is updating its program. That takes a few minutes. Wait, then try again.
Converting and copying#
"No supported direct SOL conversion pool with sufficient liquidity." — There is no market with enough money in it to sell that token, so Convert cannot sell it. Leave it out of the conversion.
"No supported route passed the safety checks. Price impact … exceeds your … limit" — Selling that much would move the price too far. Convert a smaller amount.
'Copy creation simulation failed: "AccountNotFound"' — In Copy deploy, Your deploy wallet has no SOL. Each copy is paid by that wallet. Fund it. See Copy deploy.
"Hourly deploy limit reached" — Copy deploy reached your Max per hour. Failed attempts count too. Wait, or raise Max per hour.
The app itself#
The bottom bar shows Offline or API down — Offline means live updates have stopped. API down means the app cannot reach its server. Wait a moment, then reload the page. Before you repeat a trade, check whether the first one went through.
Service unreachable — The app cannot reach its server. Press Retry. See Sign in & accounts for other sign-in messages.
