Dev buy
The deployer's initial purchase of their own token in the same transaction (or bundle) as the token creation.
A dev buy is the first purchase a token creator makes of their newly launched token, typically bundled into the same atomic transaction as the create instruction. This guarantees the deployer fills before any external buyer or sniper bot can. Dev buys are normal practice on Pump.fun and similar curve venues — they signal commitment, anchor an initial market cap, and let the creator participate in their own token's upside. Vortex's wizard lets you split the dev buy across multiple wallets (a "bundled launch") to spread risk and avoid concentrating all dev supply on one address.
- Bundled launchA token launch where the create transaction and several buy transactions execute atomically together, filling the deployer's wallets first.
- BundlerA tool that packs token creation plus multiple buy instructions into a single atomic transaction (or Jito bundle) so they all execute together.
- Sniper botAn automated bot that watches Solana for new token mints and tries to buy them in the very first block after launch.
- Pump.funThe dominant Solana fair-launch platform using a bonding curve. Tokens graduate to Raydium once the curve fills.
